Snacks that help with the hunger

My biggest problem is the hunger pangs. If I tough it out, will they go away? (I am on 1200 cals a day). Are their some snack foods that are particularly good dealing with that? I heard cottage cheese does that trick pretty good. Any thoughts?

I have always found that something with either fats (preferably good ones obviously!) or protein will always fill me for longer, So a boiled egg, a handful of nuts, some cottage cheese and fruit, some milk etc

I am on 1200 calories a day too...mygo to snack is 100 calorie bags of popcorn, they are high in fiber and you get 6 cups of popcorn for 100 calories.... and it fills you up. I like Newman's Own Natural 100 calorie packs. I just had a bag a few minutes ago.

Hardboiled eggs leave me full for hours and have only 70-90 calories each depending on the size.
