Nobody has a perfect body...

I just got back from a huge waterpark in my city. I was people watching today and realized that the number of people I saw who were really thin and in shape I could count on one hand. It makes me realize 2 things...one is that nobody has the perfect body even though sometimes it seems like it sometimes, especially when I am feeling super down on myself, but also made me sad that SO many people are overweight and out of shape :(
Before anyone jumps down my throat, I am totally not judging any of these overweight people...I saw obese women wearing tiny bikinis and was actually kind of envious of their confidence. I never thought for one minute that any of them were unattractive, many of them I actually thought looked really good.

I thought exactly the same when I last went on holiday! I was under the impression before that I was the only person who didn't have a "perfect" body! But now I see different shapes and different sizes and a lot of bigger people with a lot more confidence then I ever had or will have!
  • it's funny but i feel better about my older, softer body now than i did twenty years ago. what i did in 1994 was shut off my television. period. i even remember the date, october 3, 1995. not subjecting myself to hours and hours of picture perfect people keeps my perspective more realistic.
  • I went on holiday last year to mexico with my husband and another couple (she is also "fluffy") and we were both worried about finding bathing suits. Well we ended up with tankinis and when we got there holy cow, all shapes and sizes wearing whatever they wanted. Like you I admired their confidence. Good on 'em I say.

It is sad to see so many overweight people though, not from an aesthetic point of view but a health point of view.
