Unintentional Weight Gain

I've dieted down 5 pounds and it took me two weeks. I'm up 8 pounds in 3 days, and seeing the same number I saw over a month ago. I am SO sick of seeing this 10 pound block, and now I'm at the upper end of it - again. I am disappointed, but my waist measurement went down .5" - so I suspect it's; A. Newly started creatine; B. Eating meals after not having eaten much in the way of meals the previous several days (no point in lecturing on calories and eating enough, I've experimented with that and I know the drill, and I had enough calories) ; C. Getting back into an intense exercise routine (muscle inflammation). TMI Alert: I also had really intense diarrhea after eating, so despite eating, I think it's probably not food retention. This could be sugar alcohols, the cold I'm mostly over, or the staph I'm fighting.

Anyone else found themselves gaining that much weight so quickly, yet probably not gaining fat? Is there an equal "whoosh" if you just keep going with an exercise routine (I know my situation is complicated, but we'll start with just that variable), or does it come off slowly again, but more permanently?
