Hey everyone :) So I've finally decided to try this approach to losing weight and getting healthy. Problem is, I tend to slack off and give up easily. I never had to really worry about my weight because I have Crohn's Disease and I was always too sick to eat so I always stayed fairly thin. Then I had surgery and thank God it helped. Maybe a little too much lol. I deff got my appetite back! I gained 80 lbs over the last 3 yrs. I struggle w/ depression and notice that I also tend to eat more on my "down days". I joined a gym back in April but I'm finding it hard to get there due to finances and such right now. I'm going to exercise at home and walk. Changing my eating habits will be the hardest for me. I don't know if taking this approach to weight loss will help but I'm ready to try. I'd love to meet some new friends to support and encourage eachother.

Thanks,
Amy

hey Amy, I'm Irma. MFP is great and will help you. Knowing that you have a certain amount of calories to eat and not go over helps tremendously for me. I used to be a big slacker and gave up quickly too.. but then the pounds started coming off and holy cow I can't stop lol. I needed 100lbs to lose.... I've lost 52lbs so far... 48 more to go and I can't wait! I work out at home too!! I don't have the extra money to join a gym,, plus I don't have a car to get there (hubby takes it to work), so I'm home with our son... the best thing for me was to work out at home. add me, we can do this together :)
