I do not own a Wii butI was considering purchasing a Wii with the Wii fit as I have heard good things about it. Has anyone had success with it? Also has anyone played the Zumba games?

  • It's better than nothing. If you know that you don't find time to get out and about to exercise then this is great for you. Saves you sitting on your bum. Great on a rainy day. I have zumba 1 and 2 and find them good although I still don't always find time to do them. Classes on zumba go from 20 - 45 - 1hr. Would suggest that you need good coordination and can dance well to do the zumba. I danced for 10yrs and found that it was still a bit fiddly getting used to. Fine when you start to get used to the routines as you'll recognise certain movements at certain parts of the songs. With anything you get what you put into it, if you do the minimum on the games you won't get much progression, if you get into it and use your energy and try your hardest/fastest etc. it's good. Wii fit and plus are good as it allows you to track progress, play games, yoga, cardio and strength and you also have options of making programmes to work to. These can be a set time you want to do it in, certain exercises or certain body areas and goal type (i.e. fat loss, energy boost, tone etc.). You can also do a free running or stepping programme which you can do whilst watching the normal tv, wii remote clicks your pace and tells you how long you have left, so you don't have to miss your favourite shows or watch your mii running for 20mins.

    Hope this helps
