Hi all,
I'm about to a be a 26 year old educator who is, currently, at 237 pounds. This is actually the lowest number I can remember seeing on the scale (I cannot remember being under 250...ever...) and am looking for some friends going through some similar life changes. I was thrown into weight loss by a sad reason - my long term boyfriend and I had a bad falling out, and I realized how low my self esteem was because of my weight and it's been impossible to date again! Not that I never dated as a bigger girl, that's just not true, but I want to get into better shape so I can feel better about myself!
I also come from a family with a medical history a mile long, and I'm trying to battle against these things that are lingering over my head.
I am a vegetarian, and am trying to slowly convert to veganism. I live in a really bad area for that (i.e. not a big city) but I'm trying!
