Too much sugar?

I've been logging about 2 weeks now and have gone over on sugar almost everyday. I ate a necatarine had a half cup of milk and a half tbsp of agave one day and that was it! It's summer and I dearly love summer fruits. Is fruit sugar really as bad as ice cream sugar or granulated sugar? Should I be concerned? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't worry too much about my sugar, especially when it's coming from fruit and dairy. I think it's important to watch it closely if you are diabetic or pre-diabetic, and I think it's good to avoid a lot of refined sugars, especially from foods that don't provide much nourishment for your body. But that's JMHO.

You can train yourself to up your fat intake a bit, and take the place of some of the sugar. And sub in some stevia instead of sugar here and there. You can also get lower sugar fruits (most berries) for instance.
  • I think the sugar limit on here is absurd. I avoid added sugars, but I wouldn't worry about eating too much fruit.

I guess sugar is sugar. At least that is the rule I had to follow when had gestational diabetes. The numbers on MFP do seem low. I just refuse to feel guilty about downing a nectarine or a cup of milk!
