I am new to this, so bare with me. But myfitnesspal set my net calorie amount at 1630 per day. Does this mean I should be at this many calories post exercise OR that I should only eat this many per day including exercise??

"Net Calories" is an MFP thing. If you didn't log any exercise, then you would just eat 1630-ish calories and call it a day. If you do exercise, though (and say you burn 400 calories), MFP will lower your "Net Calories" down to 1230, while your target would still say 1630, so you'd have to eat an extra 400 calories to get your Net back up to your target.0

You will find that MFP will adjust that 1630 up as you log exercise during the day. I would add that eating back your exercise calories is a matter of personal preference. For me, I use it as a cushion in case I get hungry but rarely eat all of the additional calories I earn through exercise.0
