Insanity Max Workouts: What should I expect?

Hey everyone! Just curious about what to expect for month two. I am winding down on my recovery week here and start pretty soon up again on the MAX workouts.

What can I expect? To die? To burn out? To love it? hehe xD

Any tips and advice?

Thanks all! Looking forward to it :)

I just finished week 6 and I was surprised to find that I really enjoy the "max" workouts! They are challenging but nothing you can't handle if you've completed the previous 5 weeks. I did have to take a lot of breaks and my form was pretty crappy on some of the new moves, but no matter what, just keep going. You'll improve just like you did all throughout month 1. Good luck!!

I LOVE Max workouts. I did it after my 2nd pregnancy. I lost my weight QUICK. In 3 months all my prepregnancy weight was gone...plus an additional 10 more. 3 strength workouts a week was no joke though. It was INTENSE.

Yes it's hard. But it gets more and more do-able every. single. day. WATCH YOUR FORM. I can't stress that enough. I could really feel it in my knees and wrists when I tried to do too much too fast.

The first time I put in Max interval circuit (the first month 2 video!) I thought it was a joke. I actually laughed. But tonight I finished my last go at the interval circuit and couldn't believe how much I did! The coolest part of month 2 is how much MORE accomplished you feel after each workout (which I honestly didn't think was possible after month one! I literally cried after my first insanity workout).

You should expect to work hard. but you can totally handle it if you made it through month one. HAVE FUN!! Dig deeper :)

Yeah..Max Workouts are one of the BEST kept secrets out there. I did great with my current program but Max workouts really laid that hardcore foundation for me. I may go back to it in a few months..

I just finished the recovery week and start month two today, I didn't lose any weight in month 1 but a few inches. Do you see more of lbs lost in month two?

I really like the Insanity Max Workouts too - they are hard, and longer, but they are a little more varied. And they are well paced, with recovery exercises - so they are possible to do

Sometimes I argue with myself that the 1st DVD - the Plyometric Circuit - is the hardest Insanity DVD, even including the Max Workouts

I prefer the max workouts. They're basically more of the same... Longer workouts with more circuits for the most part. There are some new moves. I'd say there are more push-ups. Say goodbye to mummy kicks, mountain climbers and heel kicks (not sure if that's the right name, it's the one where you're running in place kicking your butt with your heels). You'll do fine. Keep water and a towel handy and allow more time because they're longer.
