It's not instantaneous.
The first week I lost a pound or so of water weight, and then stayed the same weight for over 3 weeks before I lost any more. Then I lost 2 or 3 pounds seemingly overnight.
You can be stuck, but keep eating healthy and working out and it will start to slowly come off.
Also, weight loss isn't linear. To lose a pound a week, you aren't actually going to lose 2.28 ounces every day (1/7 of a pound), you wont' lose anything for days or even weeks and then a couple pounds will come off (people call it "the whoosh".)0 -

You can't be impatient with weight loss. Your body will fight hard to stay at its highest weight. It just will. When you lose, the results aren't instant. They might not even show up on the scale. But if you stick with it, eating healthy will make a difference. Not only in your weight, but overall in how you feel.0
