Prevention with Preparation!

I have taken to heart the phrase 'failing to prepare is preparing to fail.' Now I make time for preparing to succeed in my life! With food- I give myself one full day of success prep! Here is what I do:
I grocery shop once a month. I pick one meat (fish for me, turkey & chicken for my husband) for each week. I pick one starch for each week. I pick two or three vegetables for each week. I pick one Prep Day a week. The first Prep Day of each month I cook my 'meat' for the month, all my starch for the month, and all my vegetables for the month!! Everything is portioned out into lunches and dinners: refrigerate for the current week and freeze for the coming weeks. My husband has his meals, I have mine and never the twain shall meet :] I use dry or fresh spices/herbs when cooking; the meat cooks in water and I cook that down to a 'sauce' for the meals I want to add to. It takes me most of the day, but, I relax the rest of the month.
Here is my inspiration! Jamie Eason!

This is a free training regimen that a friend of mine recommended. I love the how-to-use videos for each workout. I really love the food preparation videos! I also receive e-mail encouragement videos every week, which I am so thankful for! This lady and a lady named Tosca Reno have helped me prioritize myself. Food is fuel not BFF. (Still working on that relationship! Ha!)
By setting aside on Prep Day each week I set my self up for success! What's great is that after the first Prep Day of each month the rest are simply moving what's in the freezer into the fridge!
I hope this is helpful information for you. :

That's a nifty idea! I'm not so dedicated - the closet I get is eating last night's dinner for this morning's healthy, protein-rich breakfast. But thanks for the interesting links.
Mostly tuned in to say - I keep misreading the topic title as "Prevention with Pepperoni" :laugh:0 -
