Hello---little help! Fat vs. Muscle

I been giving this diet a whole monh but only gained 2 pds! I been exercising like crazy and even go myself trained to run 13 miles at one time :)
As for my diet, i do allow myself to have dessert on weekends but it is nothing crazy in calories like cheese cake or anything. For the week I am great. I tend to up my workout a bit if I know I am going to eat more than usual. I never go over my calorie limit and never pass 1200 calories. In the gym, I burn around 1000-1500 calories a session and go 7X a week. I have been using weights on my abs but no where else....I am seeing a diference my whole body looks tone but my shirts and pant keep getting smaller....is this because I am really packng on the pounds( and quickly) or is it because of my workouts?? (I am 5'2 125 and looking to loose 20 lbs)
