I haven't had time to research this yet, but to all the nutritionist and personal trainers we have on board, what can i take for my knees. it hurts when i climb stairs or do side lunges. Are there supplements for the knee? I stopped wearing heels, only flats and wedges. pls let me know. Mucho Gracias!

    Some people like glucosamine.

Fish oil is definitely a good one.

My knees are sore too (side lunges really suck for knees, IMO). Make sure you have good shoes on when you workout (as in, not worn out ones). I wear Dansko clogs pretty much every day, which helps my feet and knees too.

i workout in my leaving room - it has a rug/carpet so i don't wear shoes.

I workout on the carpet in my living room too (at least some of the time), and I wear my sneakers. I have a pair of old sneakers that I wear outside and a pair of new "good" sneakers that I wear to workout - at home and at the gym - I'm not worried about wearing shoes in the house because they haven't been outside, and it protects my body.

This workout is designed to help you prevent knee pain (both stretching & strengthening):

Make sure your "lunge" form is really good. Bad form can make your knees hurt more. I agree with wearing supportive shoes. If you are doing any high impact cardio ...... throw in some low impact days to allow for recovery. Leslie Sansone Walk at Home is great for low impact cardio, easy to do on a carpeted floor.

In my experience, one thing that helps is flexibility. When I was doing yoga every week, my knees felt way better.
