TONS of great info - I have lots of reading to do!

How do you know at what point to start the cut/bulk process vs. a beginner (me) loosing fat and gaining muscle at the same time? I do take measurements monthly so would it be when gains stop? I haven't started lifting seriously yet but I like to have as much knowledge as I can!

When you stop losing fat and being able to add weight to your lifts anymore. For me it was after ~3 months of lifting while eating at maintenance. At the time I was pretty ignorant though and didn't know about resetting lifts when they stall. Not sure how much difference it would have made.

    Bump...

I'm a newbie and was wondering how I could lose weight AND build muscle or if I had to choose between the two. I'll definitely have a read of this tomorrow, many thanks for posting x
