Anyone else losing sleep?

It seems like the more weight I lose, the more sleep I lose. Back when I was nearly 30 lbs heavier, I needed about 10 hours of sleep... and it stayed that way until this week. I'm getting around 3 hours a night and I have no idea how I'm still functioning and not sleepwalking through the day. Has anyone else had this problem? It's bizarre.

Do you workout in the evening or afternoon. When I started the process I was working out in the afternoon, so I was too wired up to fall a sleep at night. It took me forever and this wasn't good b/c then it was hard to function the next day. Then i started to switch my workouts to the morning and it has made a huge difference.

I honestly didn't think about that and yes, I do my exercises in the evening, after 6pm because that's when I get off work. I'm going to try waking up half an hour early this week to exercise and see how that works out for me. I really love sleep... really really really love it. lol

I wondered about that too... if I was just feeling so much healthier that I don't need as much sleep as I used to.

I am not losing sleep... but...

Heavier people tend to have a lower quality of sleep overall. Their weight actually negatively impacts their breathing when they sleep. It is suggested, for example, that heavier people sleep on their sides, as sleeping on their backs actually heavily constricts their lungs with their own weight.

As a person gets lighter, they'd see many of the weight related sleep problems (including sleep apnea) start going away.

Also, some people get an energy rush from exercising, which would make sleep more difficult. Others feel exhausted afterwards, which would help them go to sleep. Whichever type you fall into, you should adjust your exercise time to match. Mornings if you get a good energy boost from it, evenings if it makes you want to pass out.

Ummm I remember from one of your posts that you are taking Phentermine. Are you still taking it? If so, that's why you can't sleep.

There is absolutely no way your body just needs only 3 hours of sleep now. That argument might make sense if you went from 10 hours to 8 hours.

It might be the evening workout, if you are on phentermine it might be that. I would also check any and all sources of caffeine in your diet- coffee, tea,any supplements. I would cut off caffeine intake by noon.

That little sleep is terrible for your health long term, like worse then being overweight. I would nip it in the bud now.
