Slowly but surely I'm winning

I'm starting to win the battle!
It's taken a long, long time for me to actually see the change in myself, but I can see it now. I can't post pictures on here, but my profile picture is one of me at my heaviest and a current one, taken when I did the Race for Life a few weeks back.
I've had a bit of a slow-down the past couple of weeks as I have a foot injury that's caused me to slow up on my walking exercise - I'm waiting on a surgery date, then watch me go afterwards LOL I'm still doing my aqua aerobic classes, but I've had to lower the intensity because of the pain.
I won't say it's been easy to get this far, but this time I've had determination on my side, and a whole new attitude. This isn't dieting any more, it's a whole new way of life, just took me an awfully long time to realise it.
The only downside is that my stomach looks like a deflated tyre - but I already know that I'm not entitled to a tummy tuck on the NHS, so unless I can find £11,000 I'm going to be stuck with my 'rubber ring' for the rest of my life.
But at least I'll have a life............

It's taken me a long time to come to terms with my body after losing around 100 lbs. I look pretty good in clothing...but not without it! After all the work it would be great if I looked like I never went through everything...the stretch marks, etc.. but I have decided that I am embracing my healthy body and appreciating how much longer I'll get to live in it now that I have gotten rid of my unhealthy lifestyle. I saw a funny quote on here recently, something like: "Honey these aren't stretch marks, they're tigress stripes!" Love it.0
