I'm sick!

I'm sick! I feel like I need more calories to fight off my sickness. I know I'm going to drink a whole container of orange juice today to try to make myself get better instead of worse. Any advice on dieting while sick?

When I'm sick, I normally don't feel like eating. Try chicken noodle soup. That's not too fattening and good for you.0

I eat yogurt when I am sick, it is nourishing and bland enough to not make you wanna throw up after eating it! I hope you get better fast! Drink TONS of water to flush your system and to keep yourself hydrated!0

I drink tons of OJ, bread with hummus, pasta, fruits/veggies/lean protein a bit, carbs in general make me feel better. Eat healthy, but don't mind the calories, really. Diets are off when it's a matter of your body needing to get better.

Plenty of vitamin C (yay oj) and don't forget to eat! As far as the yogurt suggestion goes, while this is good if you're sick with a head cold, if you have the stomach flu and are vomiting or diarrhea, dairy products will only make it worse. When you're sick you have more acids in your stomach and when you eat dairy this will curdle quickly and make you get sick again, so steer clear if you have the stomach flu, otherwise eat up! :drinker:0

i'm sick too and i don't have any appetite for anything that's heavy foods. i just eat soft foods and lots of liquids. because i have a real bad sore throat and a terrible cold.0
