Took a picture the other night thinking I hadn't changed shape too much since I started and was pleasantly surprised. The before shots were taken around Xmas time. I've not been too strict on the diet, just cut back the portions and kept within mfp calorie goals each day. I've hit my goal and now I've plateaued a bit for the last two months, so I'm going to set a new goal to loose another 7lbs.

Great work, and that's an amazing difference, congrats on all your hard work. Slow and steady is the best that way it's far easier to keep it off because you've started a lifestyle change not just an overly strict diet. Well done again.

This is why we take pictures! It's crazy what you see on film that you don't see in your every day life. the brain adjusts to gradual changes making them invisible, but the camera doesn't lie.

    Stay the course!

It took 5 months to loose the first 25lbs or so. It has been reasonably easy. I realised at Xmas time that I was lieing to myself on MFP. I'd 'forget' to add binges into the calorie counter, so I was comming in on target most days, but not loosing weight. I decided to be strict and put everything in. I was shocked how many calories I was eating and how easy it was to go way over with the easy meal (pizza's, McDonalds etc). So after a few weeks, I had worked out that I can still eat lots of nice things and not feel deprived. I still treat myself and I don't feel guilty if I go over on the odd day. I think this is why I've steadily dropped the weight because I'm not on some terrible strict diet that makes me crave 'goodies' all the time.

The other things I've done is exersise more. A bit of mountain biking and Tae Kwon-Do. Both really good fun and not a chore like going to the gym. (I also eat back my calories  )
