Do you guys plan each meal the day before or week before? or do you have a few go to foods and you just pick them up as you feel like it?
I'm trying to figure out a way to change my lifestyle. SOuth Beach etc work but I think its not just b/c its the food but that its a 2 week plan and you follow it...So I wonder if to be a successful weight loser and maintainer you plan better..I am a fat cardio junkie so working out is not my problem its food and alcohol!!!

i don't necessarily plan each meal for each day of the week but when i go grocery shopping i make a list so that i have what i need to make healthy meals throughout the week. I also avoid buying junk food cause if it is in the house i will eat it.. So i don't really say ok pot roast Monday, spaghetti Tues, Grilled chicken with greens beans weds. etc i just get enough to make to food that i will cook during the week that way if i need to make something quicker on one day my menu is more flexible. Hope this helps - if you find that it works to set up a weekly menu then do it -0

I plan my meals out for the week before I go to the grocery store and make a list for what I will need. That's for dinners, though. For breakfast, lunches and snacks I still write on my list what I need but don't plan it out day by day. I do this for a few reasons: It's better for my budget, I don't spend money on things I don't really need, I don't have to sit and think about what to make everyday, and it's just easier for me.
Also, for me, meal planning is easier because I have two small children and a husband. So I pick meals that are healthy and they don't even know lol. This is just easiest for me and doesn't lead to me making something quick and easy that's not so healthy because I didn't put thought into it. If I know I'm going to be gone I plan on using the slow cooker so a healthy meal is there when I get back and we don't go out to get pizza or fast food.0 -
I have go to foods. I pretty much eat the same thing all the time even when I go out. I try to change or add something new every now and again but still end up cycling the same foods.0

I usually make a list out to know what I need for each week...We usually go for two weeks for our meat and things. I usually can go through a dozen of eggs in one week...and some of my yogurt and things I usually buy weekly. It is kinda hard because I am buying junk food for my family like chips and snack things for them but I don't touch them. I have been doing really good. I think it will slowly pay off sooner than later.
I just try to keep to basic things for me during the week.. I am getting ready to get my breakfast and lunch ready for tomorrow.
breakfast 3 egg whites, fruit smoothie and kashi blueberry waffles
Lunch, baby carrots, tuna sandwich, yogurt and water
Hope that helps...0
