Red Meat

I have battled with stomach problems all my life. About a year ago I started eating alot healthier. I eat chichen, fish and ground turkey for protein. My stomach was doing much better accept for a few instances where my stomach lining became inflamed. This evening my husband and I went to his parents house for his dad's birthday and I ate a steak. I got sick as a dog! Not an hour after I ate I felt very nauseas and thinking back most of the times I have gotten really sick is when I add red meat to my diet. Am I crazy or could that be what causes some of my stomach problems. Has anyone else dealt with this.
God Bless

 Sorta but not to that extent, I cut the red meat out all together, never had a problem with it until my mid 20's eggs too:(0

I have IBS and when i stick to chicken, fish, turkey meat i do great i don't suffer with stomach issues as soon as i eat steak im in the bathroom dying all night and same thing like you a hour after eating it i got sick as a dog and felt sweaty , stomach pains and was in the bathroom for the next few hours ... I think it' has to do with the way our bodies break our food down and steak is a tough meat to break down and maybe that's why it causes so many stomach issue's im not sure but i know i get sick almost every time i have steak I hope you feel better and i would ask your doctor next time your in ...0

I had issues like yours and ended up having my gallbladder removed (I blame it on unhealthy diets as a teenager and messing up my body). But I had some massive "back-up" problems afterwards and even had a colonoscopy, which they found nothing. The cure? I went vegetarian for a month on a dare from my husband, and found that my problem went away. Even though I LOVE meat, my body no longer does. It took awhile to get used to, but here I am over a year into it, and it's amazing the fun stuff my hubby can find to cook and keep things interesting.
Hope you feel better soon.0 -
Thank yall for your posts. I have been to the doctor many times and had numerous tests including tests to see if my gallbladder was healthy. So far everything has come back normal. Next time I go to the doctor I will talk to him about the red meat.0
