Calories Burned during Workouts?

How do you figure out how many calories you've burned during a work out?

Buy a heart rate monitor that shows calories burned, or as I like to say, calories roasted. Use the HRM every time you work out to see the burn.

Rely on my Polar FT60 Heart rate monitor.... Would not do a cardio workout without it.... Best of Luck...

I don't have a HRM so I use the calories given by the equipment at the gym, if my profile has been entered correctly. I also use the numbers given by this database for calisthenic, Pilates, yoga, circuit training, etc. I reached my goal almost 18 months ago and I am on maintenance.

Most likely that a HRM will be more accurate than the machines, but you can still log your workouts and get close to the calories burned without it. Just watch what you eat, and if you are not sure that you burned that much, just don't eat all your exercises calories.

    It worked for me.
