Lipitor - Who's taking it? Any Problems?

Okay, so I am officially taking a "med". *sigh* I didn't want to, but my doctor was pretty concerned, so I caved. I have NO intention of staying on Lipitor, and I have a referral to a nutritionist so I'm going to do EVERYTHING that has to be done to make my cholesterol go down. Meanwhile, I'm wondering who's taking Lipitor and if it is affecting your weight loss goals - either positively or negatively?? Any thoughts?! Anyone have horrible side effects?

I took Lipitor for several years. It served the purpose of lowing my cholesterol number and I don't think it changed any attempt to eat less or lose weight. I noticed more aches and pains, supposedly a side effect to Lipitor and my doctor told me to go off it for a week and see if that symptom diminished. It did not, so I guess I would chalk up the aches and pains to errr getting older. I have since changed meds and it still keeps my cholesterol down while I have elevated numbers in the tri-glycerides and blood sugar.
