Tv run on bike

Anyone know if there is a way to have a turbine converter or something you can hook up to ur exercise bike so if u stop going it shuts off the tv. give a more encouragement to make an extra 10 min to finish the show your watching lol

we always joked about that. never set it up though. if you know some engineering students, i bet they'd rig it up for you... could be a solution as easy as a motion activated light switch (on if motion, off if none, that would save you messing with the bike itself).0

I saw a thing where CyclOps figured out an attachment that could run a blender off of one of their trainers---they were serving margaritas while riding!0

I've considered that (I was actually interested in storing the energy) but from what I was told the amount you could generate is so small you can't even recharge a battery. I would imagine it wouldn't be nearly enough to power a TV. However, if it's just for motivation, I bet it wouldn't be too difficult (for some electrical engineer) to rig a device that would stop the TV if you dropped below a certain "power" on the bike.0
