Anyone on here have PCOS? Well I do and I was curious if losing the weight helps with the symptoms and possibly better chance of getting pregnant? My doctor told me that if I would lose a 100lbs then I should be fine, I have already lost 40lbs so far! Any encouragment/advise would be greatly appreciated!

My daughter was not tecnically diagonosed but has all of the symptoms. She lost weight and got pregnant with her first child who is now 3. She just got pregnant again and before she lost a lot of weight. It does take her over a year to get pregnant but losing the weight does seem to help. Following the diet for this is helpful also. Good luck and hope this helps. Their is also some kind of medication that helps with this too. Metformon I believe. (not sure of spelling)

If you search PCOS in the message boards there is a lot of info, we've discussed it quite a bit. I have PCOS as does my sister, I haven't had any children yet (by choice) but my sister was able to have two children after losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight, it helps to regulate your ovulation because it helps correct your hormones.
    Hope this helps
