Roller Coasters

So everyone here has had those moments when something they told themselves they'd never let happen.. happens. For me one of those things was I never wanted to have to use the "big" roller coaster seats. A couple years ago, that happened. And then worse. I needed HELP to get the seat pushed down far enough to click. I could barely fit!
Well that was one of my many wake up moments, and hence has been a tiny little goal for me. Get into a roller coaster seat without any help.
So my reward for losing 30 pounds (and 10% of my starting weight whoot) was to take my friends to Sea world with some comp tickets I had. So I went yesterday, specifically to ride Manta, their new "gliding" coaster (Don't let the nice sounding word fool you, that coaster is INSANE). I fit into their seats no problem (One size fits all seats too!)
But when I got to Kraken, I assumed I wouldn't be able to fit into the regular seats since I am still 272 pounds. My friend wanted to sit in the back row but sacrificed that to sit with me in the row with the big seat. When we came around to ride again, I decided that I would just try to see if I fit in the regular seats. If I didn't, oh well no big deal just need to try again when I lose more weight.
But... I fit. I was so excited. It was literally like one click and the seat belt thing between me and certain death but I fit.
I had an amazing day with my friends who were all completely awesome. And today I feel as if I was hit by a train. Apparently walking around Sea world for 10 hours is just a bit of exercise (especially when we kept doing the... "Well we're over on this corner of the map and the thing we want to do now is on the other corner of the map... Let's go!" )

Congrats! Keep it up! Go to festivals!! I did! I went to the Strawberry Festival in April (walked and walked, and walked). Hubby and I went to the Folklife Festival in June (walked and walked and walked). What did I eat at the latter?
Greek olives, greek bread, greek salad, 4 large glasses of green tea, and a sesame seed dessert made with low sugar. Check out my monthly weigh-in!! I STILL lost weight. Allot of women in here complain about pigging out at the buffet table be it at a baby shower, bachlorette party, function, celebration, B-day party, cruise vacation, etc., etc., etc.! The TOOLS are there for you to use...it's up to you to know what is right and what is wrong (foods, drinks, etc).
The holidays are around the corner! The first "test" is Halloween  Then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Year's Eve/Day....WILLPOWER! When you recieve the will power it will hit you like a freight train
Blessings and keep up the good work! :flowerforyou:

That is so cool:glasses: good for you!!!! I know what you mean about these kind of things. Where I live we have the Alpine slide on Mt. Hood. My kids love to go on this. A couple of years ago when family was visiting we went there. We had to stand in a long line at the top. They had young snowboarder type guys helping people. If you weigh more than 200lbs you are supose to use this special sled. They would yell down the line "Who weighs more than 200lbs"! I was so embarrassed:sad: I only went that one time. The rest of the afternoon I stood on a bridge taking pics of the other family members riding down. I swore that day that I would not go back until I was under 200lbs:frown: I weighed 227 lbs that day. I now weigh 194, so I am hoping that next summer I will get to go again, and this time I WON'T be riding the special sled!!!!!!0

That's great! It's always great to feel like we've accomplished something. Last time I went to a water park, I went with my aunt, her boyfriend, and my friend. All of us are over weight in varying degrees and we decided to get in one big float to go down this big slide. I argued that we should just split up but no....
Sure enough we got stuck on a hump, my friend had to jump out and tug at the float while three others piled up behind us. It was so embarrassing. My family and friend were laughing their *kitten* off but I felt terrible. :blushing: :blushing: :blushing:
I'm looking forward to the day I don't have to worry about weight limits.0
