I waited 1 week to weigh in and lost 1lb! First pound off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only had a calorie deficit of 1717, so I was only expecting .5, but I'll take it! Not sure if that means that I burned much more than I logged (I do try to move as much as possible in my "sedentary" desk job), it's a difference in water weight, or if there is some error in my scale reading.

Then I remembered that my scale has a body fat analyzer. Not sure how accurate it is, but it said that i am (after the 1lb) 30.4% fat. :( That means I am officially overweight. It does, however give me an idea of what my goal weight should really be:

LBM = weight - (weight *body fat %)
LBM = 171 - (171 *.304) = 119

Goal weight = lbm ÷ (1- goal body fat)
GW = 119 ÷ (1 - .22) = 152

I knew that I needed to lose a little, but I didn't think I would get on here and need to lose 20lbs!!! Wow. So I am excited about the 1lb (right direction!), but kind of overwhelmed and disappointed at myself for the rest.

P.S. I am 5'9 and weigh 171lbs. Medium to large frame. Jean size 12. Motivation appreciated
