Wouldn't that just be juice?0

Does not compute.
(real answer- I've seen it, but I just... can't. I can't. If I'm going to indulge in fruit juice calories, stuff had better be fermented.)0 -
What's the point of it?0

I didn't know such a thing existed!!! Personally I wouldn't want to try it...what's the point of wine with no alcohol??0

Alcohol-free wine is a good choice if you enjoy the taste of wine but don’t want any of the effects of alcohol. Non-alcoholic wine is available in a variety of flavors, and it has a lower calorie count than regular wine because it’s missing the calories from the alcohol.
Calories
The standard serving for wine is a 5-oz. wine glass. Each glass of non-alcoholic wine has 9 calories, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Calories from Carbohydrates
Each gram of carbohydrates has 4 calories. A 5-oz. glass of alcohol-free wine has almost 2 g of carbohydrates for 6 calories from carbs. All of these carbohydrates come from sugar.
Calories from Protein
A single gram of protein also has 4 calories. With just under 1 g of protein, one 5-oz. glass of non-alcoholic wine has almost 3 calories from protein.
Considerations
While the typical serving size of wine is 5 oz., you should note that many wine glasses are larger than this. In addition, it’s very easy to pour more than 5 oz. of wine into almost any glass. If you’re concerned about your calorie count, you need to measure the wine you pour and not simply rely on the size of glass.

Why is the concept of someone not wanting alcohol so strange?0

Wouldn't that just be juice?
No, alcohol free wines are fermented like a regular wine and the then the alcohol is removed. I had one a few years ago that was a palatable dry red (don't remember the name offhand).0 -
More importantly, where can I find calorie free wine WITH alcohol?!0

I prefer Welch's 100% grape juice.. but am never drinking it again because of sugarry content. I sure do miss that sugarry goodness, though. :b
Sorry... just had to.0 -

Amen to that! (Although I have no issue with someone wanting alcohol-free wine, I bet calorie-free wine with alcohol would be the better business investment. )0 -

I've seen Fre brand at stores, but I've never tasted it. The only alcohol free wine I've ever tasted was from the Duplin Winery in North Carolina. It wasn't bad, but I like my alcohol.0

It's pretty nasty. Honestly, just drink something else. You know what is surprisingly good? Seltzer with vinegar.0

I tried a white Fre a couple of months ago and it was bad! I'm willing to try other brands if there are any!0

I like the taste of wine but hate the hangover and the calories!! So I would rather just the taste and no headache the next day. Mixed responses so will give it a try. One glass....bottle....cant hurt!0
-
Why? Just...why? It's just grape juice otherwise! :drinker:0
