I only just begun exercising a few weeks ago, but have noticed a recurring problem - when walking at over 3mph, or performing a lot of squat-based exercise, the muscle just above my right ankle goes into an extreme cramp after around ten minutes, and literally cannot use it. Resting it for a few minutes usually solves the problem, but afterwards it is still very sore and tender.
Does anyone have any ideas or advice as to what it might be, or how to stop it?
Thanks

You might try strecthing a little more before exercising, look for a strecth that works that part of the leg.0

Put a bar of Irish Spring soap in the covers of your bed while you sleep.
Swear to God it works. There have been studies done!0
