So i'm back on the bandwagon (again!) and i'm watching what i eat and trying to count calories. Unfortunately i'm going over my calories (including the ones i eat back that are earned from exercise) but it's "healthy" foods. Is this okay?

If you're just starting out (which is what it sounds like) don't worry about it too much. When you switch over gradually, it's easier to stick to. However, you will need to eat at a deficit in order to lose weight, so you will need to drop the calories you're eating at some point. It's a process though; you've done a good job by starting with replacing the unhealthier foods with healthier options, so now it's just a matter of working on the amounts. Baby steps, as they say.

How much are you going over? Depending on your settings you probably have a 500-calorie deficit. If you're going over by say 100 calories a day, you still have a 400-calorie deficit so you'd still lose weight, just slightly slower.

Thanks for the comments - I am just starting back again and tying to "cleanse" my palate. When I go over on the calories it's only by 100-200 calories and it's not every day; some days I just seem to be hungrier than others. I'm below calories (50-100 below) on the not-so-hungry days.

Try adding up your calories for the week and see if you're staying within your weekly goal. You don't have to follow the day-by-day limit.
