Stress reaction, not losing weight?

Hi everyone! I'm on my last week of Insanity and I'm glad to say it has gotten me the best body I've had, even though I didn't lose much weight- if any. However, since starting the program, most days I also did other exercise, usually running, in an attempt to get to my goal weight.
I'm not sure if I should push through the last few days of Insanity though. I've started having pain in my foot, and I've had 2 stress fractures already, so you can imagine I'm wary about the pain. Also, for the past 3 weeks I've been feeling very fatigued. I'm wondering if overexercising has been preventing me from losing weight? If I take a few weeks off of exercise and do only yoga (and eat clean- Paleo), do you think I'll lose weight? I have ~7 pounds to go

Personally I would modify it to where you feel comfortable with it. I'm all for pushing through pain for an extra rep or something, but when we're talking about previous injuries then it's important to make time to heal. No point in making it 2 or 3 more days at max intensity only to hurt yourself and not be able to do any work at all for a month or more.

Wise man talking. Rest and let your body heal, so you can give your max when ready.
  • Thanks, that's what I'm thinking.... Do you think, since I'll be giving my body a break, it'll be more willing to let go of the weight?

It might, it could be water retention. Every 6-8 weeks or so when I take a rest week and only do some cardio I always seem to drop some weight/inches. I'd at the very least rest until the weekend and maybe then try out a jog or something before jumping right in and hurting something.
