here is why I started working out

2007 pitching statistics
http://www.400hitter.com/playerpitch.asp?PlID=4680&TmID=370&SeID=95&CtID=0

2006 pitching statistics
http://www.400hitter.com/playerpitch.asp?PlID=4680&TmID=370&SeID=83&CtID=0

notice the ERA, SOIP, and WHIP differences.
that's 1 YEAR different. Sad, I went up in almost every catagory. Granted I pitched more innings and the league was harder last year, but still!

This year I plan on being actually in shape! For the first time since college. I plan a sub 3.0 era and a plus .800 SOIP and a minus 1.2 WHIP this year.

I realize very few of you know what these stats are. But they are big for me. FYI
ERA is Earned Run Average (how many earned runs teams score over 7 innings against you)
SOIP is Strike outs per inning pitched (self explanitory)
WHIP is Walks/Hits per inning pitched (also self explainitory)

I am gonna be a menice this year!

Hehe, thanks for the nice comments (except for that Yankee person :grumble: ).

I AM redsox fan. And have been since I was 3 and my dad poped me up on his shoulders and brought me to Fenway. Back then I loved Fenway, now though, at 6'2" the seats feel like they belong to the lolipop guild.

In a lot of ways, the redsox have mirrored my health.

Did pretty good in the 80's and early 90s, fell off a bit there in the mid 90's, slowly but surely started to get better around 2000, then came under new management (my wife) and now I am flying high!

  • Go Tigers! I'm from MI., but I watch the Red Sox, too.
