Row the World 3 starts tomorrow.
For the royal team members of The Flying Dutchman...here is a couple of ground rules.
1) Support each other with positive words of encouragement. Anyone saying discouraging words is off the team.
2) Do your best- the goal is to exercise 600 calories a day. Some days besides your best effort, you may not have time to get everything in; that's ok. Some days you will be above 600 calories, some days lower---its O-K-A-Y, just do your best.
Post your numbers on my message on my posts titled The Flying Dutchman
If you do the 600 calories a day burn (we don't count calories you eat-but stay at your limit) you should burn 18,600 a day for the month; a pound is 3500; so you will lose 5.5 lbs come September 1. Put in 100-200 calories below your goal and you can lose 1 lb a week; and will be 10 lbs lighter come Sept 1. Those in the UK, I know its stones...so please lend a hand.
Burn more and you will lose more. Have fun, and report into me on my loop here titled The Flying Dutchman.
We will be doing some mini challenges and some special "events"

First thoughts...Keep a weather eye on the horizan.
You are welcome to share, but you don't have to, thought it would be a good idea to reflect and share why you want to do this challenge, what you hope to achieve, and what you hope to gain.
For me...10 pounds lighter, yeah. Fellowship with my rowing mates, and I hope to gain, a new sense of pride, and achievement.
Post your remarks in depth, or just a little note like mine. I think its important to remember your thoughts as the "rowing" gets tough and the days get long.
We want to keep a weather eye on our horizan! And don't care if we are the first, or the last....we are starting as and will end as winners!

A stone's 14 lb. But I'm poor at Maths so I'll let you work that out!
My goal is just to get myself a bit more active and motivated.
I'm hopefully going on holiday in September so would like to be more toned and trim for that.
I don't have gym access so for me at this weight 600 calories is a tough challenge but I'll do my best.
