Has anyone had good success with losing weight playing basketball?? just curious because it's something I really like to do.

Hell yeah! I used to play basketball in High school and, considering all that I ate, that's what kept me at a healthy weight.

My hubby, who is 39 and in pretty good shape, LOVES basketball - plays it a few times a week and lost about 10lbs in the last couple months. That's the only exercise he really does these days. I'm sure that if he concentrated more on the foods he ate and his calories that he'd probably lose more too.

I say go for it. If that's what you enjoy, any exercise is better than none, and that *kitten* gets your heart going!

When I was younger I lost 120 lbs playing basketball for an hour or so a day, 5 days a week. I worked a 2nd shift job and we'll all meet up after work and play. Took me 6 months to drop 120 lbs.

If you're being active, it's definitely going to help you lose weight!
