Body Fat %?!!?!?!?!?!?

I'm trying to figure out my Body Fat% I honestly don't want to obsess about a number on a scale, so as of yet I haven't weighed myself. I run almost daily and eat a deficite of 1410 calories a day.
I did a calculation on ask.com (the only place I could find one that didn't look like bs) and it says I'm 43.6% of body fat. That sounds a little high for me.. but if not then I have a lot to work on. Whatever the case may be I want to understand this!!!
Height: 5'5"
CW: 177 (Or last time I checked like 3 weeks ago)
I know I am for my type of body, but is 43.6 % correct, and if not how do I determine my BF%, I read a lot of posts about ppl claiming they are only like 10% BF or their goals are that or lower.
So teach me about BF% and how I can focus on that rather than a # on a scale. I want to be "lean" muscular (NLRFW). Healthy, whatever you call it.
thanks! ♥

Sounds high.
There's 3 different calculators on this site:
fat2fitradio.com
Try all of them, and use your best judgement to pick which one you want to use. Stick with one calculator, and use it to judge progress- you'll never get a "real" number using circumference methods (as none of them capture all the places you could be carrying weight) but if you stick with one you'll get a good idea of your progress.0 -

You eat a DEFICIT of 1400 calories or you eat 1400 calories?
I'm not familiar with overweight/obese body fat percentages, but that sounds possible. Women and men BF% are very different even if they look like they have the same amount because of women having essential fat in their breasts and hips that is very hard to get rid of and will exist even when they're shredded. A man with 10% body fat will start showing his abs and is probably on top of his diet, a woman who looks like she's just as skinny or has just as much fat will be more like 15-18%.0 -
That could be accurate. It would mean that you have 100lbs of LBM and 77lbs of fat. The 100 lbs lbm sounds about right for your height.0
