I am a 23 year old Mother. During my first pregnancy I gained about 75 pounds! I know a lot. After having my daughter I got pregnant about 2 months later (babies 11 months apart) so I never had time to lose all that weight. Now I currently weigh 163 and I am wanting to get back down to 120-125 (I am 5ft3in). I am not getting much support from any friends/family at home, so I desperately need support on here.
I was thinking about making my excise/food diary public so then I can be accountable for what I have done. What are your thoughts and suggestions on this?
Also would be more then happy if you would like to "friend" me! I am desperate for all the friends who will support and motivate me, as I will you.

Hi , wouldn't it be great if there was a motivation pill lol, I don't know what methods of weight loss you may have tried in the past , but I know keeping my MFP diary has made all the difference to my weight loss . My consumption of Alcholol alone was vastly reduced once I saw how all those caleries added up.
I would be very happy to be your friend, I'm a bit low my self at the moment so it would feel good to help out any way .
I know it's hard when family and friends don't support as we might wish, and especially hard when cooking family meals and eating different , but once you lose that first couple of pound you will feel empowered. It's the best feeling when tight clothes start to feel a litte slack.
You have the motivation and I believe you can achieve your goals, let's face it having 2 babies in 11 months is no mean fete lol, you are still sane , you know what you want , go for it girl .0 -
Thanks for being so understanding.
Luckily I don't drink any alcoholic drinks, so I didn't have those extra calories. I do LOVE pop but have given that up. (Its funny I gave up pop to lose weight but not during pregnancy).
I made my food/exercise diary public so I could be accountable for what I do and don't do right. I feel like I would try to do better if I feel like people are watching me.
I normally exercise two hours a day at the gym, but unfortunately I have lost my car keys and cannot go anywhere during the day. Since having these babies, I always seem to be forgetful and losing things like crazy (except my weight).
This is the biggest I have ever been and frankly, I am not happy about it. I feel very depressed every morning when I get up have to find something to wear. I refuse to buy larger clothes because I do not want to stay this big. Im scared if I buy larger clothes, then I will be content in weighing this much. I am NOT content this big lol.0 -
Hey congrats on baby! Whether or not u open diary is up to u (I don't anymore). But main thing is to b accountable to yourself! Did u know that it can take two years for your body to return to normal after baby? (mum of five I am, last one is five months). I found it helped me not to think of weight loss but energy gain...making sure that as much as possible everything that went into my body is going to add energy/nutrients to it in some way..and I have heaps of energy now even at 43! The focus on cals came later when I decided to check portions if I ate pasta or rice etc cos I knew I was tempted to go over (now I hardly eat them). The best thing is that u have arrived!! I wish I'd have taken stock of myself at your age too! Then I would have had 20yrs less of guilt and regret...so get busy..get it over and done with now and never look back..you will b happier for it!0

Are you serious? Two years for my body to be back to normal? By then I will probably be pregnant again lol... Thanks for all of the encouraging words! I know since I have been exercising I have had more energy to deal with the babies and cleaning house and such!
Good Luck to you and your weight loss!0 -
:drinker: I am no authority on weight loss honest , but just had a nosey at your diet diary , and noticed you under your caleries and didn't have much water , yesterday, both things can effect not losing weight, not eating enough and not drinking enough. Also do you like Green Tea try it with tea spoon of honey and slice of lemon first thing in the morning , and have an apple before each meal.
The tea will kick start your metabolism , the apples do the same plus add healthy caleries to your Dalily total and drinking water and eating an apple will help with porttion size as they fill you before you start lol.0 -
I know it can be embarrassing and you may even have some critical people, but defiently make it public. Personally, I do it because I'm a binge eater, and I often binge in secret. Add me if you would like. I'll motivate you through laughter at my hideous food diaries, LOL!0

Im a very BIG fan of pop, I don't like anything but pop. I have given that up tho so I can lose weight. I am under my water, and I know I need to drink more, but I absolutely HATE water! I haven't ever tasted the tea you were talking about, but I will try it next time I go to the store.
I am under on my calories, I just have to stop myself from eating.... food is an addiction to me. I am trying so hard to no over eat, that I end up under eating.
I also hate the fact that I have to cook dinner for the family because they want unhealthy, fatty foods for dinner that I can't/don't want to eat!
I made my diary public so I could get advice, to improve my weight loss day to day, so thanks for looking it over!0 -
I absolutely hate water couldn't agree with you more, but I am quite addicted to soda water , ( no cals in it ) I buy the cheapest one 70cents from Coles ( I live in Australia ) Some places charge $2 or more it's a rip off. Sorry digressing , so I have gone from never drinking water to drinking about 8 glasses a day , try one before your meal, one with and then one after, it soon adds up then.0

I will try drinking it before, during, and after. Maybe I can work my way up to 8 glasses a day. Normally I drink one glass of water a day during dinner and then rest of the day I drink nothing at all.
Do they sale soda water here in the US? I know nothing at all about healthy stuff and waters lol....0
