Need help with pushups?

This girl is one of my favorite bloggers on tumblr (Claire/powerrprincess). She posted this video and I thought it was really great! I am working towards being able to come all the way down to the floor before pushing back up, and this video offered good advice. I thought maybe some others would like it too. Link:

I am interested in doing better push-ups because I am currently doing a "100 Day Push-Up Challenge". I'm on Day 37.0 -
This is a GREAT video. Love the bro/girl hybrid, and she's really charming.
Just one thing: I did MCJROTC all through high school, and we were taught to get our upper arms parallel to the floor, NOT to touch our chests to the floor (well, some girls chests touched the floor, but...). I'm not sure why you would want to hyper extend that way. Just me. In high school I could do about 100 good form push-ups (I got in trouble a lot!)0
