Okay this is incredibly embarassing, but my bowels are out of control.

I go at least 3-4 times a day after reforming my eating habits - anybody else having similar issues?

It's like clock work too.

eating more = going more and eating more often = going more often. that's what I find. I don't even worry about it. Better than being constipated.

I presume by "out of control" you don't mean totally out of control, that wouldn't be normal. (Like if you're having to run to the toilet kind of thing.)

No, not quite. I used to go once maybe twice a day, and while it hits me fast, it's not like I don't have time to make it to the bathroom. It's just a lot more often! :embarassed:

That is completely normal! Nothing to worry about  the average is 1-3 times a day but if you eat more fibre you will crap more
Hope this helps, I go about 3 times a day, nothing wrong with it.

I'm actually having the opposite issue. Since changing my diet to be mostly "clean", and eating 5-6 small meals per day, I'm finding there are times when I might not go for 48-72 hours. Then when I expect a "grandiose expulsion", it ends up being pretty normal. I'm eating very well and including greek yogurt. And I don't feel "crappy", so I figure my body must be using every last bit of the food I'm taking in. I guess that's a good thing, since the scale is still going in the right direction.

Anyone else experience the lowered frequency when changing to a healthier lifestyle?

Strange bowel activity usually evens out more over time, as your body gets used to the healthy changes you're making. No worries! :flowerforyou:

Im like that. But i suffer with IBS so its pretty important i try not to eat foods that bloat and constipate me. Id say if youre not having belly ache with it then i wouldnt worry so much, your bowel maybe just adjusting. If you are gettin belly ache and lots of bloatedness drink plenty of water to keep everything moving and if you need a little help id try Senakot Dual Relief tablets they are great, i swear by them, they ease the bloating and the constipation pretty quickly. They arent harsh where you need to leg it to the toilet lol! Good Luck :)

Me! I have been logging food for 20ish days now and I get this. Must affect people in different ways. That and I have finally stopped eating foods I am intolerant to :)

Everyone's bodies react differently to different foods. When I was at peak healthy eating, I was only taking one big relieving poo a day, usually like clockwork in the morning. Now I'm going more, but that's because I'm trying to incorporate more fruit into my diet, and let me tell you what, my bowels DO NOT like the fruit, but my taste buds do.
