I like playing with numbers.

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disorders has a body weight simulator here:

http://bwsimulator.niddk.nih.gov/

I was playing around with it, trying to figure out what my activity level was. I took my past weight loss as a model (I started at 188 and am now 172) and how long it had taken me on how many calories and used it to figure out what the multiplier was for my exercises.

I also used it to figure out what my weight loss would be if I kept on my current calories until Christmas (I'd hit my ultimate long term goal).

They also have error bars around weight loss (high and low estimates). You can add changes to activity levels.

Probably most interesting for a lot of people is what would happen if you added exercise.

Anyway, it was interesting.

Love it. I actually found it before I found MyFitnessPal. I started my weight loss goals using that, then fine tuned using advice and information on MFP.
