Scale just won't move!!

I've been stuck at 183-185 pounds for over three months. I'm 5'8'' and 18-years-old, trying to get weight off that I gained back during recovery for bulimia.

It doesn't matter how much I eat, the scale just isn't moving in either direction. I've tried 500 calories a day, 1000... 1500.. 1200... 1800.. 2000... And everything in between. NOTHING WORKS. I have issues with exercise after also having bouts of exercise bulimia, but I've been trying to stay active. I recently got a pedometer, and I'm working my way up to 10,000 steps a day. (I have a goal of 9,000 today.)

I've gained back pure fat and lost so much muscle mass, I look bigger than ever. I swear I can feel and see the fat growing underneath my skin -- I'm that frustrated. Even my face is breaking out, and I've never ever had that problem before. Not once have I gotten clusters of acne anywhere, and the more I break out, the more stressed I get.

/Rant over and now seeking advice.

mmm wish more people would advise you. I think you should talk to a nutritionist or doctor/expert about this? You might just have to a healthy calorie intake level and eat whole healthy foods and let your body heal from the abuse of bulimia. That would be my advice.

I'd get some professional help... eating disorders can be overwhelming and there is a lot of help out there. Those experts will know for sure how you can get on the right track. Right now seems like you're trying everything and losing direction.

Good luck... Your health is what matters..not your weight. :flowerforyou:

I know how you feel. I have tried 1000, 1200, 1400, 1500, and 1600. I am now trying low-carb. I am a little different than you though, I lift weights and don't have an ED, but I have seen a halt in losing inches as well. The scale is moving a little bit for me but slowly. Very slowly. It's easy to get frustrated. I would recommend talking to your doctor because of your background. I think you'll be able to figure it out. My guess is that maybe your metabolism got thrown off and it's now taking a long time to fix itself. Your doctor should have a solution for that.
