Best Kansas City BBQ joint?

We will be doing a long weekend in Kansas City August 9-12.
What is the BBQ joint we should definitely hit up while we are there?
We plan to be very reasonable with our eating the rest of the trip, but would like to splurge on one great BBQ feast.

    Jack Stack Barbecue...great place, great atomsphere, great prices, great BBQ (we run a BBQ business part-time so our tastes are very finicky ;). We went at an off-peak time between 4-7pm. So they even gave us a tour of the kitchen and you can see how the BBQ is smoked. Awesome place!

    I second Jack Stack! We lived in KC for about three years and it was one of our favs. The prices are very reasonable and the food is great.

    Jack Stack is all right. Gates is damn good. Oklahoma Joe's is good too.
