Fat loss = higher body temperature?

Two and a half weeks ago, I started eating clean (for the most part) and I have had pretty good success so far. Ever since I started eating this way,I have also noticed that there are times that I just feel like I'm burning up and I get clammy with sweat all over. This usually lasts about 15 minutes at a time, much like a menopausal hot flash. I'm 22, so I can say pretty confidently that menopause is not the cause :tounge: Also, it's usually in the mornings about an hour after I wake up, and sometimes during the night.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Could fat loss be the cause? Throughout my whole life, my body has been pretty good about regulating its body temperature (rarely "too hot" or "too cold"), so it's the only reasonable explanation that I have for it. Just curious :flowerforyou:

  • If you don't come down with a cold or flu in the next couple of days and it keeps happening I'd definately go see a doctor. Hot flashes could be a sign that you have something going on that is making you body think you are menopausal!

@Monica, that's always a possibility, thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I"m one of the many without healthcare so that's really not an option for me at this point.
