Good Overall Toning Exercises

I am wanting to start going to the gym and lifting weights 3 times a week. I only have a half an hour in my schedule to be able to work out so I am wanting to make the most out of it as possible. My goal is to gain lean muscle and be toned all over my body not just certain areas. I do not want to bulk up or anything just be fit and healthy. I am new to weight lifting so I am hoping maybe someone can give me some good lifts/workouts to do to get me to my goal.

Agreed. Add pull-ups to the list, especially if you're not comfortable with rows/cleans.0 -
I just started strength training after beginning excercise and modifying my caloric intake for 1 month. (The most excercise I have ever gotten on a consistent basis). Anyway, I am following the 5x5 Stronglift program, and am amazed at how hard it is, and how much I can do. It is very effective. I do everything jacksonpt said, with dips and pullups. I am still being coached on form. Good luck, I'm excited for your progress!:happy:0
