Here's the story....
-21 y/o
-Female
-5'4"
-Currently 141.5 lbs
I've been working out consistently 5 days/wk since November. At my gym I like to take group fitness classes--BodyPump, BodyCombat, Cycling, CXWorx, and occasionally Zumba. I follow the same schedule everyday, taking 2 classes each day at least (or so I try to fit in 2). I started seriously working out when I was a freshman in college (18 y/o and weighed ~135 lbs--which I weighed roughly when I started my current regimen). I think I've plateaud....I don't know what I need to do. I've started watching what I eat more, but I will say I still struggle with that--food is my enemy and don't like fruits or veggies.
But here's my question/point....
What do I need to do? I love my group fitness classes and really don't want to leave them but feel I need to change things up a bit. Workout machines bore me, and I don't mind doing them and they aren't hard for me, but want something that I can do that I enjoy and will feel fun and not so much like a workout (like the group fitness classes do).
Additionally, can anyone give more info about this "plateau". I don't know much about it and how it works....I just know I'm not losing weight, I'm gaining it. HELP PLEASE!!!! :ohwell:

Swim for a bit. It is awesome exercise and makes a nice change. It also works different muscles to those you work in the gym/work out classes.0

Try working out in a completely different time of the day, while spending a week or two legitimately trying to use machines or free weights.0

Ease up on the extreme cardio burns and try strength training with heavy weights. If you haven't read the 'new rules of lifting for women' I highly suggest it! Also how is your protein intake....all those mega burns and not enough fuel or protein can stall your weight loss progress!0

I second the swimming! Maybe try yoga or pilates, strength training... And do stuff outside! If you have time in the mornings, go for walks (walking is so good for you...), go on hikes, go swimming in lakes or play in creeks (hopefully you don't live in a desert!).
But I took a look at your food diary... not sure what your goals are for food (are you working out so much in part to maintain a fast food diet?) but I would try to learn to like fruits & veggies, haha! Fruits & veggies are just so good for you, and help to fill you up with fewer calories as well.0 -
Assuming your diary is correct, I think your problem might be on the food side rather than the workout side. I don't think different workouts are going to help you.0

WOW and I just looked at your diary :noway: For shame!!!!! Lot's of junk food!! Your body is DEFINITELY not getting the proper nutrition you need to support those type of workouts!
YOU CAN'T OUT TRAIN A BAD DIET!!!0
