I have a "The Biggest Loser Digital Food Scale" and it works like a charm. Its inexpensive too (under 20 US dollars). I did some research on it before buying, and this food scale has a lot of praise.
I found mine and Bed Bath and Beyond but you can also get it at Walmart.

^^This....I have the same one and it's perfect!0 -
I got an Oneida food scale from Walmart:

I like it because it can be used with or without the plastic tray and since the plastic tray is not attached it can be tossed in the dish washer or submerged in soapy water to clean it. Also since you only need the scale portion of the unit, it fits easier into bags and such for transport when traveling or commuting.0 -

I like shopping on Amazon because I have Amazon Prime membership and get free 2 day shipping. This scale has a 5 star rating with over 3,600 reviews and comes in different colors. I love it. You can put a plate on it, zero it out and then weigh the food alone. You can also change between ounces and grams. I'm sure other scales have those features, but I couldn't ignore the ratings and haven't have one problem with it.

EatSmart Precision Pro - Multifunction Digital Kitchen Scale w/ Extra Large LCD and 11 Lb. Capacity $25.00
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001N07KUE/ref=oh_details_o03_s01_i03
Tare feature eliminates the weight of a plate; 3 Minute Auto-Shutoff lets you prepare ingredients while maintaining battery life
Max weight 11lbs; Displays ounces/lbs/grams/kgs; Graduation .05 oz / 1 gram
EatSmart Kitchen Scale: ... Why I like it::
It works! I found that one "fist" of fish or meat could be 3 ounces or 7 ounces. This has helped us control our portion sizes. After joining MFP, I used it even more. This scale has some nice features. Put a plate on the scale and turn it on ... and it automatically goes to 0.00. Push the button after there is a plate and food on it, and it will again go to 0.00. I used to use it for ounces, but, since so much food in My Fitness Pal is measured in grams, I am using that unit of measurement more now. (Options are ounces/lbs/grams/kgs; Graduation .05 oz / 1 gram, up to 11 pounds). And, if you are like me, the auto-shutoff after 3 minutes is great!
I like the reviews (5 star average with 3,622 reviewers) of the EatSmart better than those for the Biggest Loser, but Amazon does have the Biggest Loser scale as well.
Edited to share that Sabs is mentioning the same unit!0 -
