I read in Shape this month that you can use avocado to replace half the butter or fat in your cookie recipe. (some people use applesauce) It says that the result will be a softer chewier cookie and it reduces the fat content by 35% I LLOOOOOVE:love: chewy cookies so I am gonna try this and I'll let you know how they come out. Im thinkin Chewy Oatmeal Raisin. MMMMMMM

 Krystal

Ps it says you can also use it in quick breads and muffins. hhhhmmmmm

I occasionally make a chocolate "shake" that uses an avocado. I would think that a strong flavor would help cover it up. I'd add extra cinnamon to your cookies, but that's just me.
  • Please post back on how you liked the results.

I love avocados but I have a hard time imaging them in cookies or desserts.

    This should be interesting.
