low carb foods

I'm getting senior pictures done next Thursday and I really want to look as good as possible in the short amount of time I have. I'm doing Jillian's 30 day shred (level 1) as well as Insanity everyday, and eating 1800 calories (5'6'', 165 lbs, 17 years old, female).
I've been told told to cut down on carbs so I can lose more weight, but I can't find many foods that are low carb. Do you guys know any? I'd appreciate your help!
ps I'm vegetarian

Meats, veggies, eggs, cheese. You can google for specifics on which veggies are lowest (and forthe most part meat is zero unless you're eating processed lunch meats or shellfish)0

fish
nuts
nut butters
butter

Baconneggs , Baconneggs with spinach, Baconneggs with cheese, Baconneggs with other leafy veggies
Basically if it had a face then I'd be wolfing it down.0 -

As a recovering vegetarian, I agree with this post. Food with a mommy is good for your health :laugh:0 -
healthy low carb choices would fall into the majority of your vegetables.
healthy no carb choices would be true proteins, small amounts of cheese (fits both no and low carb)....
Sorry, cant help you with the whole vegetarian choice... I go both ways on the plate 8-)0 -

I wish you well with the recovery.
It is a bit of a sign of the times when we have to really think when we want food that is 'low carb'.
If it wasn't for that pesky food pyramid ...0 -
The classic I've seen for lose it quick on low carb is chicken and veggies. The full list I use is:
meat
veggies
fish
nuts
eggs
cheese
milk
good fats (butter, oils, etc.)
combinations of these.
Classic meals I use:
Grilled chicken with two veggies-one green, one not.
Baked fish with steamed green beans and sauteed mushrooms
Veggie frittata or omelet with a side of bacon (can't skip the bacon on MFP!)
Snacks
veggies and hummus
nuts
nutbutter and celery

well it's going to be incredibly hard to go low carb if you're a vegetarian.... (been there, done that, didn't work).
dairy, eggs and egg whites, quiche (no pastry)...0
