I bought a small bag of Green Giant Klondike Petite red potatoes.
The nutrition facts say 110 calories for 1 potato. They are VERY small. I looked again and it says serving size 1 potato (5.3 oz). I weighed it on my food scale and it was 4 potatoes to get to 5.3 oz. Should I go by 1 potato or the weight?

I always go by the weight.
My walnuts said 1/4 cup is xxx cals....and should be xxx weight....well when I filled up the 1/4 cup it was double the calories.
So.......I always weigh everything!!

Wow, I guess I need a scale after all! Went to Wal-mart today to get one and thought, 'nah i can get by without one' guess not!!!0 -
oh the difference is amazing. I weighed a slice of bread last week and it was 1/2 more than the 1 slice calorie indication.
I am at the last 10 pounds......so it is coming off very slowly. If I weigh, I know what I am getting.
Oh, and I read where they are starting to use weight in baking recipes now. It is more accurate than measuring by volume0 -
