Recommend exercises for back ache patients

Hi there,
I am currently using a dual track stationery bicycle for my workouts (as it doesn't strain my fragile back). I am also incorporating resistance by using 2lbs weights to start off.
Does anyone have other suggestions on moderate level workouts (besides swimming & walking) so that I don't hurt my back? I had slip disc a couple of years back, and pretty much have limited workouts to choose from.
Thanks y'all!

I know you asked for exercises, but I started doing two simple stretches, and they helped a lot. I found them here: http://www.lower-back-pain-answers.com/lower-back-stretches.html. Also, i found that as i strengthened my legs and abs, my back pain started to go away.
Exercises that may help reduce or prevent low back pain include:
* Aerobic exercise , to condition your heart and other muscles, maintain health, and speed recovery.
* Strengthening exercises , focusing on your back, stomach, and leg muscles.
* Stretching exercises , to keep your muscles and other supporting tissues flexible and less prone to injury.0 -
