How my fat is like........

This comparison has been running through my head today, so I thought I'd share it. If fat is my enemy and knowledge is power, I want to spend some time getting to know my enemy.

My fat is like my children:
I created it and, quite frankly, had fun doing so.
It has drastically changed my life.
It is there for everyone to see, even if I'm actively trying to ignore it.
It can be very stubborn, right after being very sweet and doing what I told it to just a few days or hours ago.
It's made me laugh and made me cry.
It's become a part of who I am and how I identify myself. It's hard to imagine not having it around.
Getting it "out of the house" does not in any way guarantee it won't return and bring friends.
It's social. It tends to come and go in groups.

Of course my children are much beloved, while I want to get rid of my fat as quickly as possible, so the analogy definitely breaks down quickly. So how do any of you personify your fat in ways that gives you strength/tactics to fight it?

OP, I don't have enough time to write something I'd be proud of, but I do want to say I enjoyed reading your personification of fat!
