Good Day! I need to get more protein in my diet as I am working out almost every day and I'm not getting enough. Some good protein sources, like beans, I can't tolerate. Also trying to lose weight. Suggestions on the best sources??

Are you vegetarian or vegan or something? Lean cuts of meat will be your best choice. I eat a lot of fish but no other meat. Also, 0% greek yogurt if you can handle dairy, it has like 18g per serving. I also have IBS but find I can handle moderate amounts of yogurt if i mix it with fruit.0

Hey there, Cheryl, I have IBS (ulcerative colitis), too, and here is what I find I handle well:
eggs - I hardboil several and have those as snacks if needed.
chicken
lean steak
Jay Robb Protein Whey - my personal trainer suggested this to me and it doesn't have all of the artificial ingredients that most protein powders have. You can get chocolate or vanilla for protein shakes for post workout - the vanilla and unflavored can also be used for cooking, adding to oatmeal, etc. It's quite expensive, but worth it to know you're not putting junk in your body.
Every body is different, so I apologize if some of the things above don't work with your IBS. Good for you for working out! Hopefully that will relieve your stress and help you heal. I am almost symptom free right now. Also, you may want to limit your dairy if you're still experiencing symptoms. I found cutting that out was very helpful for me. I still have some, but I no longer have my daily 'cereal & milk' as my body rebels.
